Vacation rental booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Great Oceanfront Condo,King,Pool,Sm Dogs,FREE Tickets,F22 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Have a great stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
