How to find the best vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First, have your group select a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Discounts. 3 min. 3 bedroom OCEANVIEW condo at Ocean Creek Resort. has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
