Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental home:
- Start by having your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Relaxation Awaits/1Br Suite Dogs OK! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
