Hotel Rooms, One- and two-bedroom suites and villas are ideal for family stays at this resort, where colorful pastel buildings, nautical villa décor and a wrap-around porch at the clubhouse exude a beachy, low-country appeal.

The Space:
There’s plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the close by Grandiose Strand–the local term for the 60+ miles of beach that stretch from Myrtle Beach nearly to Charleston. Bicycle or walk along beautiful winding pathways, past lakes where anglers can cast a line. Grab a float and work on your tan as you passively glide along on the resort's lazy river. Appreciate a invigorating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or appreciate a relaxing hot tub soak. There are even mushroom fountains and a kiddie pool just for the kids to savor! The resort also has an activities program for kids that will help keep them entertained, too.

How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • 1-Bedroom Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
