The Space:
There’s plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the close by Grandiose Strand–the local term for the 60+ miles of beach that stretch from Myrtle Beach nearly to Charleston. Bicycle or walk along beautiful winding pathways, past lakes where anglers can cast a line. Grab a float and work on your tan as you passively glide along on the resort's lazy river. Appreciate a exhilarating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or appreciate a relaxing hot tub soak. Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- 2-Bedroom Suite has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
