How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick yourrental:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. HOME, CLOSE TO ALL POPULAR ATTRACTIONS. 5-MINUTE DRIVING DISTANCE TO BEACHFRONT has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
