Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Relaxation Oasis in Ocean Lakes, 4 Bdr 2 Ba has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
