Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. The Green Gable - Colonial Charm close to it all has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
