Finding the best rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Magnolia Place - Myrtle Beach 5 Blocks from the Ocean has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
