Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Resort 6211 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
