Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. A203 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beautiful Oceanfront Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
