Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort B0341 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More considerations:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
