How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • To start, have your group commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. NEW Beautiful Home *2 miles from Beach* Centrally located *Comfortable Green has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
