Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose and book the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. KING Honeymoon Suite Pools at Caravelle Resort! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
