Booking the best rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New! Gorgeous 4th Floor Oceanfront Condo at Maisons-sur-Mer on Shore Dr, $300 FREE Activities Daily! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
