Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:

When to go & When to book:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean View- Beach Condo Sleeps-6 steps to the beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
