Tips to get the best rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Oceanfront 3 Bed\/2 Bath unit (8th Floor)- Luxury Beach Rentals has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
