Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly added - Ocean Forest Plaza Condo 20th floor! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
