Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the best rental home:

  • Choose vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Newly Renovated King Suite-Ocean Views! Boardwalk 1140 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
