How to find the best vacation rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect vacation home:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beachside Condo - Sleeps 7! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
