How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental home:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Breeze Hideaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
