Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing the bestvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Front Resort - Limited Ocean View Unit - 6\/29 thru 7\/6 - Myrtle Beach, SC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
