Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the bestrental home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Front Suite with a Beautiful View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
