Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To book the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. BEACHFRONT ESCAPE TO RELAX, UNWIND & TAKE IN THE OCEAN AIR has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
