Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean View Condo in the Dunes and Golden Mile area. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More considerations:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
