Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To book the largest rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your group select trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean View King Suite-Carolinian 1535 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
