How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 1 bedroom Sand Dunes 2626 Sleeps 6 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property management company before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
