How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose and book the perfectrental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront condo in private community + Free Attraction Tickets! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
