Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the perfectrental home:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Relaxation: Brigadune 10D has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
