Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental:

  • To start, have your family select vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. ON The Beach 2 bed\/ 2 bath 3rd Floor Condo only Steps Away From The Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
