Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the perfectrental:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Outdoor Pool, Waterslides
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
