Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the bestrental home:
- To start, have your group decide on dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Palms Resort 502 - Oceanfront! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
