Ours is a 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home that sleeps 14 people comfortably. What sets this home apart from other homes in the area is the location on elegant Magnolia Lake and the close proximity to the ocean. It was constructed to maximize the view of the ocean, but it's also on a peaceful cul de sac that is away from the noise of the park. PEACEFUL is the word that describes this home. Fishermen adore that they can fish right from our home. There are 2 enormous decks where you can gather as a group or get away for sunbathing. It is well furnished and all linens are available. There are few other homes in the Ocean Lakes complex that are as clean and well constructed as this one. People who stay here always tell us that this is their favorite home at Ocean Lakes.

Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect vacation rental:
- To start, have your family decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Quiet Lake House with Spectacular Ocean View has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
