Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to visit & When to book:

- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your group agree to date ranges and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Relax 200 yards from the Atlantic Ocean has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.

Some things to know before you go:

- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
