Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Romantic Oceanfront 1-Br w/ Balcony @ Caravelle! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
