Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Relax in this cozy townhouse, 2block to the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
