Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Saltwater Serenity - 4C has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
