Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose and book the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by having your group commit to dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Welcome to your dream getaway at this stunning Myrtle Beach condo! \n\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
