Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Simply Relaxed 2/2 - KING - Myrtle Beach Resort - Near MYR has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
