Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. High Seas by StayMareni
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
