How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sweet Oceanview Villa 1bd/1ba Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
