Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Tranquil Retreat 3rd Floor: King Suite by the Sea has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
