Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Finding your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Ultimate Myrtle Beach Condo location in Prestigous Maisons-sur-Mer. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
