Strategies to get the best vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking yourrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Unit 1215 - Ocean View Condo - Book Now & Save has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
