Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Finding the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Warming Ocean View King Bed Accessible 5th Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
