Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Magnolia Pointe 2nd floor w/elevator, pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
