Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. South Beach Resort 2 BDRM Myrtle Beach Access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
