Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. 3BR, 3BA Double Oceanfront Balcony-4\/27-5\/5 OPEN! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
