How to find the best rental home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. 3rd-floor studio with pool, hot tub, & AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
