Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Serenity at Shore Drive! Sands Beach Club, marvelous sunrise view, sleeps 8, 2/2 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
